The May Feast of Mother Mary was celebrated by the Junior Nicholites with festive mass being celebrated by Rev. Fr. Shanaka Mendis, the Principal of the Junior School. Traditionally the college had been celebrating the feast of Mother Mary with a procession from Upper School to Junior School carrying the statue of Blessed Mother on a gaily decorated chariot led by the school band and all the students and staff of the Upper School. But this year, in view of the prevailing situation, in the best interests of the students, the school authorities decided to curtail the procession and confine the celebrations to the Junior School. May the Perpetual Light of Mother Mary shine upon our Nicholites, so that they may ‘Shine Like Stars’.
