The Staff, Students, and Parents bade farewell with heavy
hearts to Rev. Fr. Anselm Shiran, the fourth successor at the helm of St.
Nicholas since it came under the orbit of the Archdiocese of Colombo. They had
many good reasons to be emotional. The digital transformation that he
introduced to the class room, the diplomacy with which he enforced good
discipline on young Nicholites, the touch of elegance that he added to college’s
programmes and events religious as well as others, the spiritual values he
inculcated in the hearts of the young,
the harmony that he maintained with the parents, the care and concern
showed in issues related to the staff and the college, and above all the noble
human qualities that radiated from him at all times.
It is the concerted wish and prayer of everyone at St. Nicholas’ that their beloved Reverend Father Rector be blessed with the grace of the Lord in his endeavour to mentor Post Advanced Level Seminarians to serve faithfully in the Lord’s Vineyard.
